很多人不知道遇到外國人要聊什麼，今天我來分享一個我在馬德里特別的經驗，也許可以給大家一點靈感！

大三的時候（2013年）我在西班牙生活了半年，

其實我最常聊的就是中國文化XD (畢竟我是國文系嘛)

最奇特的是，我和一位德國人好友一起在馬德里看兵馬俑展覽XD

那天看完展覽，我們都有很棒的收穫，

對全世界來說，這是非常值得讚嘆且偉大的發現，讓我們一起來閱讀一些相關英文吧！

"The Terracotta Army is one of the top attractions in China. It is significant because the hundreds of detailed life-size models represent the army that triumphed over all other Chinese armies in the Warring States Period, and who ushered in the united imperial China era 2,200 years ago.

【英文解說時間】

Terracotta=陶土、製陶

所以「兵馬俑」被翻譯成 "Terracotta Army" 其實就是 陶土製成的軍隊 

以前有人問過「和人一樣大的...」怎麼說，其實很簡單，就是 life-sized 或 human-sized，例如「和人一樣大的泰迪熊」= a life-sized/ human-sized teddy bear

usher：當名詞=接待員、當動詞=接待、服侍

上面說這些兵馬俑代表在戰國時代戰勝其他中國軍隊的士兵，也是在2200年前服務中國聯合帝國的人

unite=聯合、團結

imperial=帝國

the united imperial China era 就是指秦朝一統天下的時候
